S.W.E.E.P.S.

In order to perpetually and honestly evaluate the mission of St. Anneʻs Church, we utilize the S.W.E.E.P.S. model.  S.W.E.E.P.S ties us to our Baptismal Covenant; holding us accountable, both individually and collectively, to living out our vows that were witnessed by God and others.

Service

Candidates for Baptism are asked, "Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?"

The Christian community engages in SERVICE because it is called to serve all humankind as brothers and sisters in Christ. As Jesus said, "In as much as you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me." (Matthew 25:40)

Worship

Candidates are asked in the Baptismal Covenant, "Will you continue...in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers?"

The congregation in its WORSHIP declares its praise and glory to God. Our worship involves offering ourselves to God so that we might be transformed and empowered to do His will.

Embrace

At Baptism we are asked, "Will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ?"

As EVANGELICALS, declaring the Good News of Jesus by word and deed for all to experience is a basic task for the Christian community of faith.

Explore

The Christian promises to, "...continue in the apostlesʻ teaching and fellowship."

Exploring the teachings through a variety of EDUCATIONAL

opportunities supports this commitment. Educational efforts in the Church help to strengthen the community of faith, and equip members to serve in various ministries.

Pastoral Care

Our Baptismal covenant calls us to, "...strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?"

We are to honor and nurture one another, and care for one another through lifeʻs entire journey.

Stewardship

"Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself for us, An offering and sacrifice to God."  Ephesians 5:2
